Saskatoon is a city in central Saskatchewan, Canada, on the South
Saskatchewan River. Residents of the city of Saskatoon are called
Saskatonians. The city is surrounded by the Rural Municipality of
Corman Park No. 344. Saskatoon is the most populous city in the
province of Saskatchewan, and has been since the mid-1980s when it
surpassed the provincial capital of Regina. The city had a population
of 222,189 in the Canada 2011 Census with a civic estimate of 234,200
at the end of 2011.
